After holding various positions at scientific institutions and private educational institutions in northern Germany, Prof. Dr. Petra Naujoks took up her professorship in business administration at the Department of Ecotrophology at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften Hamburg) in 2010.
The focus of her teaching for students who want to become ecotrophologists and vocational school teachers in the hotel and catering sector is on the areas of:
- Accounting/Controlling
- Sustainability
- Communication
Prof. Naujoks offers collaboration with companies as part of her students’ final theses in the Bachelor’s degree program. Over a period of four months, the students work on a question from your company. Collaboration with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) is highly desirable.
Here are some examples of successful collaborations with companies of different sizes:
- Evaluation of the use of an organic label of a brand of a food manufacturer (Bachelor).
- Development of a stock control system to determine the cost of goods consumption for a catering business (Bachelor).
- Costs of needs-based catering for boarding school athletes at the Hamburg/Schleswig Holstein Olympic base (Bachelor).
Further information can be found on the HAW Hamburg website.
